The 24th Meeting of the COMCEC Poverty Alleviation Working Group (PAWG) was held on 24 April 2025, in a virtual-only format, with the theme of “Decent Housing for the Poor in the OIC Member Countries” with the participation of the OIC Member Countries and International Institutions.
During the meeting, experiences on housing strategies in the OIC Member Countries and the examples of good practices were shared, and common challenges were addressed. The meeting also discussed how to further enhance efforts to develop or improve housing policies and strategies for the poor. On the other hand, the participants were also briefed on the first draft of the Policy Guide prepared in line with the theme of the meeting.
