Representing the COMCEC Coordination Office (CCO), Mr. Selçuk KOÇ, Director General for COMCEC and International Development Cooperation, and Ms. Ayten Akman KAÇAR, Specialist, attended the 12th Conference of the OIC Ministers of Tourism held in Khiva, Uzbekistan. The Conference was attended by 25 OIC Member States and a large number of OIC Organizations.
A comprehensive presentation on the COMCEC’s activities in the field of tourism has been delivered within the framework of the Conference. In the presentation delivered by the COMCEC Coordination Office, the activities carried out within the scope of tourism cooperation within the framework of the main instruments of the COMCEC strategy have been shared with the participants. It has been stated that 29 country field visits (18 member countries) and 74 deskwork (34 member countries) have been conducted within the scope of the issues addressed in the COMCEC Tourism Working Group. It was also stated that 25 projects in the field of tourism have been realized so far within the scope of COMCEC Project Financing, while the Call for Projects for the year 2024 will be launched in October 2024 and the member countries have been invited to benefit from this important opportunity for the realization of the policy recommendations adopted at the COMCEC Ministerial Sessions.
