The 38th Meeting of the Follow up Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Economic and Commercial Cooperation Standing Committee (COMCEC), of which our Honorable President is the permanent chairman, was held in Ankara on 24-25 May 2022, under the Chairmanship of the Vice President of the Strategy and Budget Presidency, Mr. Rıdvan AĞAOĞLU.
The 38th Meeting of the Follow up Committee was attended by delegates representing the countries of Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Qatar, Malaysia, Nigeria, Kuwait, Indonesia, Niger and Pakistan, which are the members of the aforementioned Committee, particularly the Republic of Turkey, which is the permanent chairman. The OIC General Secretariat and representatives of the relevant OIC organizations also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the COMCEC projects such as the OIC Internal Preferential Trade System (TPS-OIC), the COMCEC Arbitration Center, the OIC-COMCEC International Investment Fund, which continue to develop economic and commercial cooperation among the member countries, and the activities of the relevant OIC institutions within the scope of the COMCEC Strategy were discussed and comprehensive assessments have been made at the meeting. In addition, the draft agenda of the 38th COMCEC Ministerial Meeting to be held in November was accepted.
